Agenda

  • Repository / main branch status (brief mention of "MLS")
  • Rust dependency upgrade and elliptic curve crates
  • JavaScript / TypeScript wrapper and release timing
  • Performance of cryptographic operations
  • Credential-related item ("Cred", exact scope unclear)
  • Crypto package packaging and React Native / web support

Discussion

The automatic transcript for this session captured only isolated fragments; most of the exchange was not recorded intelligibly. The notes below reflect the only passages that could be reconstructed with reasonable confidence, and should be treated as partial.

Rust dependency upgrade. Ariel Gentile stated that it should be possible to upgrade to the newer Rust dependency across the board, but expected that this would result in a fairly large pull request touching all the elliptic curve crates and their usage. No alternative approach (for example splitting the upgrade into several PRs) was discussed in the recorded portion.

Repository and main branch. Martin referred to the repository main branch and mentioned "MLS", apparently as a question. The surrounding discussion was not captured, so the point raised and any answer are unknown.

JavaScript / TypeScript wrapper and release. Ariel Gentile referred to JavaScript and TypeScript, to a JavaScript wrapper, to an alpha, and to waiting for a release. The dependencies between the wrapper and the release were not recoverable from the transcript.

Performance. Martin raised performance twice in connection with cryptographic operations, describing them as difficult, and mentioned a comparison with the classic (non–post-quantum) case. A paper and research were referred to by Ariel Gentile, but neither the reference nor the conclusion was captured.

Credential item. Ariel Gentile proposed moving on to "the Cred" topic. The content of that segment was not captured.

Packaging and platform support. Ariel Gentile mentioned a support package, a crypto package, and React Native / web support, alongside a remark by Martin about a "create function" and a backend. No conclusion was recorded.

Decisions

No decisions were taken (none could be identified in the transcript).
